The Reform UK leader Accuses Teachers of ‘Indoctrinating Children’ on Race Issues

The political figure stated that educators would initiate walkouts within weeks a success at the polls for his party, accusing them of “harming young minds” by instructing students that black pupils are victims and white children oppressors.

At a gathering for a Michigan-based religious institution, the politician expressed his viewpoint on the UK education system, stating that the “radical left-wing” had “now in control of our education system”.

“I’m anticipating a walkout by educators very quickly after winning the next general election,” Farage commented during a Q&A session.

“They are poisoning our kids. They instruct children to be ashamed of their country. They inform little Johnny, who’s eight, who is black that he is a victim and a white child of the same age that he is a perpetrator. They are dividing us, instead of fostering unity. They are feeding this negative culture.”

Reacting to Farage’s claims, Daniel Kebede rejected the idea that the education system was controlled by Marxists as “absurd”. He pointed out that any strikes must relate to educators’ working conditions, and doubted whether Reform would attack these right after taking office.

“Farage has built his public life on dog-whistle politics and currently, like Trump, he is lining up teachers and their unions for a fight,” the union leader said.

“I think that’s grossly irresponsible. I don’t – and nor does my union – push critical race theory as he’s suggesting … Should he become prime minister he would sell out our public services, particularly schooling … and the outcome would be catastrophic for education and children.”

The party, which is leading the polls by about 10 points, has not set out much detail on its educational plans and seems not to have appointed an education spokesperson.

However, his comments indicated the group would reform the system and the curriculum. Farage declared: “We face an enormous task with education – absolutely herculean. And, it won’t happen quickly; it requires years, a long-term effort to reform.”

Farage expressed that younger generations are receptive to critical thinking, but millennials were “absolutely hopeless”.

Paying tribute to Charlie Kirk, Farage said: “All I want education to do to teach critical thinking – to educate individuals that there are two points of view and they should decide for themselves as opposed to what’s happening now where one is virtuous and one is evil. This is a huge undertaking in the UK and US.”

Reform has previously clashed with the UK’s largest teaching union, after the union leader labeled them “extremist and prejudiced” and described the leader as “a cheap imitation”.

The politician has charged the union head with being “an avowed radical” … an individual intent that our children should be poisoned through education, their minds should be poisoned about everything to do with this country” and maintained that the organization seeks to brainwash teenagers against Reform.

Roughly a million individuals are employed in education in the UK, with educators comprising half and the remainder being assistants and administrative personnel. The leading teachers’ organization has about 450,000 members.

National strikes over teacher pay and conditions in recent years led to significant interruptions in schools and millions of days of lost learning for students.

At the US event, Farage also vowed to promote the online educational material of the Christian college in the UK. He said organizations like it were “key to resistance”, adding that: “I mean this. I will help garner hundreds of thousands, if not millions of young people to these educational programs. I make that commitment tonight and I will follow through.”

The college, a religious educational establishment, offers free courses. Its website states: “A scientific, literary, theological, political, and moral education is necessary for personal happiness and to perpetuate the blessings of freedom. It offers these beautiful courses for no charge to every interested learner.”
