In a commanding display, the English national team clinched another triumph against their opponents, with a number of squad members delivering notable performances on the pitch.

Starting XI

The goalkeeper Not a save required in the first half until tested by Arbër Hoxha’s curling effort. One well-timed sliding challenge against an Albanian attacker demonstrated his anticipation. 6/10

The debutant Examined against the opposition's biggest threat in their forward. Operated through the middle early on then shifted to the flank once Saka was introduced. 7

John Stones Moved forward on the ball, a familiar role before. At times was too casual when carrying play with the tactic abandoned at half-time. 6/10

Dan Burn Always dangerous from dead balls, per usual, perhaps is a replacement for Stones in the backline instead of his partner. One wayward pass in the second half nearly resulted in the first goal from the visitors. 6/10

Nico O’Reilly Another confident display from the 20-year-old after his debut versus Serbia. A teammate did not capitalize on full advantage of a clever backheel over the opposing backline. The left-back spot is firmly his at this stage. 7/10

Adam Wharton A debut start with the national team. Somewhat loose when playing out however his whipped corners posed a danger. A handy game manager for the coach to call upon against sides that sit back. Cautioned for a poorly timed tackle. Six

The midfielder Set-pieces from dead balls and free-kicks created chances. Was given license to drift in left midfield only to be in an offside position upon receiving with a chance to score. Given a merited break around the 60-minute point. 6/10

Jude Bellingham Operated in an advanced position out wide while also put in defensive duties. Showed moments of class but mishit an effort wide. Withdrawn late on by a teammate, a fellow player, after being booked. Seven

The winger Had England’s best chance before halftime, his shot excellently kept out from Thomas Strakosha. As Quansah hanging back, it fell to him to offer an outlet down the right side but his crosses from the touchline were hit and miss. Replaced for the final quarter-hour. 6/10

Harry Kane The difference-maker netting 77th and 78th finishes at international level. His first a trademark poacher’s finish while the second a superb headed goal having drifted away off his defender. At 32, he’s only getting better with the national team stand a real opportunity in future competitions when he's in the team. Eight

Eberechi Eze Struggled to make an impact on the left flank. Had a presentable chance after being played in from a teammate however Strakosha kept it out. His replacement made much more of an impact after coming on. Five

• Bukayo Saka (on for the winger at the 63-minute mark) Failed to convert but his corner created the first goal, 6/10
• Marcus Rashford (replacing the attacker 75) Lively when brought on and set up Kane’s second with a brilliant delivery to the far post, Seven
• Anderson (on for Wharton 75) Looks established so soon, 6/10
• Morgan Rogers (replacing Bellingham with minutes remaining) Too brief a spell to affect things, 6/10
